The Scientific Committee of the International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS) has announced that Pedro Hallal, of the Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil will be delivering a keynote talk of the Congress, which will be held in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil.
His speech will be on "Physical activity for health and performance: travelers in parallel universes?". He will be discussing how physical inactivity is pandemic worldwide and how investments in sports might help solve this chaotic situation.

The 2016 International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS) will take place in Santos in São Paulo between 31 August and 4 September, it has been announced by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
The event, which will take place in the build-up to the first Paralympic Games to be take place in South America, due to open on September 7, will be held at the Federal University of São Paulo and will target the global sport science, sport pedagogy and sports medicine community.

The 2016 International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS) will take place in Santos, Brazil, between 31 August and 4 September, it has been announced.
Taking place just days before the next Paralympic Games, the event will be held at the Federal University of Sao Paulo in Santos and will target the global sport science, sport pedagogy and sports medicine community.
ICSEMIS is a sports science conference attracting more than 2,000 participants which is held every four years in the host country of the respective Olympic and Paralympic Games.
